The features include :
• Plant-wide and Unit Balances.
Data reconciliation is used for mass, volume and energy balances on a unit or plant-wide basis. A gross error detection process precedes the balance.
• Component Balance.
This module balances material quantities and their individual components satisfying conservation principles. This analysis rule is needed to balance processes where a mass balance is not enough to determine the amounts of concentrated and purified components. Industries such as metallurgical, chemical, gas plants, and refining can benefit from the use of this rule.
• Unmeasured Flow Calculation.
Accurately calculate unmeasured flows based on the reconciled measurements in the system.
• Yield Accounting.
Sigmafine incorporates receipts, shipments, inventory, and process data into the plant’s production numbers. Yield reports are on a shift, daily, month-todate, year-to-date or other basis.
• Composition Tracking.
Tanks and solids bulk storage compositiontracking is provided. Composition tracking is based on receipts to storage, feed to the process plant and operations within the offsites and storage units.
• Energy Balance.
The Energy Balance module balances process networks that contain heat exchangers and process units where a simultaneous balance of mass and energy is required. Use this tool to calculate mass flowrates and energy, which is useful to estimate heat recovery and efficiency.
